Interesting data from Odgers Berndtson on leadership at international firms. Apparently 4 in 10 of the UK's largest firms are led by non-UK nationals. Good news that the UK can attract talent from abroad - let's hope that doesn't change - but perhaps not the best advert for British managers? And, yes... I used the US spelling of Globalization deliberately!
By the end of last year 85% were UK based with 9 countries represented. However, the UK’s success in attracting international companies and business leaders does not appear to be a two-way street. Only four CEOs from the biggest companies analysed on the top European and US exchanges combined have a British-born CEO, raising questions about the appeal of UK leadership talent.
