Big news from Microsoft yesterday. For the first time, sales of the Cloud Based, subscription version of Office overtook sales of the traditional "Shrink Wrapped" equivalent.
This is big news for us. We bet big on Office 365 a couple of years ago and - as a result - are the only supplier in our space (that I know of, anyway!) that offers support for Outlook in a Browser, Outlook on Windows (including the old school model) and the native version of Outlook on Macs.
It's good to know that we've backed a winner!
Amy Hood, Microsoft’s chief financial officer, said Thursday during a conference call for the company’s latest earnings that its Office 365 online workplace tools brought in more revenue than the traditional version of Office that’s installed on people’s computers.
